It is a bright evening filled with joy and happiness because there is a wedding in the village. The entire village is celebrating the Haldi ceremony of a beloved village girl. Meanwhile, in Joshi Niwas, a girl is getting ready for her friend's Haldi function. She is searching for her earrings while calling out to her mother.

"Mom, do you know where my red jhumkas are?" she asks.

Her mother scolds her, "How many times do I have to tell you to keep your things in their place? But you never listen to me! You've been getting ready for more than half an hour. If you don't come downstairs in the next five minutes, I'm leaving without you!"

"You go ahead, I'll come once I'm ready," the girl replies. Her mother sighs in frustration and leaves for the function after scolding her.

Fifteen minutes later, the girl looks at herself in the mirror, smiles, and says, "Zhal!" ("Done!") before heading towards the venue where everyone has gathered for the Haldi. As she walks toward the venue, the sound of music reaches her ears. Unable to control herself, she starts dancing her way to the function.

Song playing: "He Pori Sajuk Tupatali"

As she reaches the venue with an energetic dance entry, she gains everyone's attention. Seeing her, her mother shakes her head disapprovingly, but the others cheer and clap.

After her dance, everyone praises her. A woman calls out, "Megha!" (Yes, she is none other than our Megha.) Megha looks towards her and moves closer.

"Oh my God! You look so beautiful!" the woman exclaims. Megha smiles in response.

The woman then asks, "So, when are you leaving?"

Megha replies, "Next week, after Varsha's wedding. Otherwise, she will never let me live peacefully !"

Everyone laughs at her response. Later, when Megha and her friend Varsha are sitting together, chit- chating about marriage .

After the function, when Megha and her mother reach home, they were working in kitchen when her mother first hesitate but later tells her, "Someone from varsha's in-laws' family saw you dancing today and has asked for your hand in marriage for their son."

Megha looks surprised. "Why didn't you tell me this there?" she asks.

Her mother replies, "Why? So that you could disrespect them?"

Megha scoffs, "It's not called disrespecting. It's called teaching people to mind their own business!" With that, she wash her hands in wash basin and starts walking towards her room.

Her mother yells after her, "Megha...!"

But Megha enters her room, falls onto her bed, and closes her eyes to push away the thought of marriage.
